Compact smart starter for engines and other loads.<\/strong>
\nWhatever the task \u2013 switching or controlling, starting or monitoring \u2013 the powerful yet compact Simatic ET 200SP motor starter offers versatile functionality for monitoring production facilities while taking up little space in the control cabinet.<\/p>\n

Variants<\/strong>
\nThe Simatic ET 200SP motor starters are available in standard and failsafe versions. They switch and protect electrical loads up to 5.5 kW in various areas of application, for example in logistics systems, production machines and CNC machines. The combination of a compact design and hybrid switching technology with 5 power variants up to 5.5 kW makes the motor starter particularly powerful.<\/p>\n

Comprehensive diagnostics and direct integration into automation<\/strong>
\nWhen starting single-phase and three-phase motors, the motor starter reliably protects them against overload and short circuit. In addition, they offer extensive measuring and diagnostic functions. For example, it is possible to detect zero currents. The current values can be transmitted in order to log this data and use it for energy management.
\nLike all components in the Simatic ET 200 system, the motor starters are easy to install. Thanks to the push-in technology, the motor starters can be wired without tools. The mounting base allows multiple motor starters to be connected to the main circuit. Once installed, the motor starters can be easily connected to the control system and parameterized via the TIA Portal without any programming. The LED display allows the fault to be located and corrected.<\/p>\n

Guaranteed safe shutdown
\n<\/strong>The ET 200SP motor starters offer two options for safe motor shutdown. For standalone safety function, the user can choose to safety shutdown the motor starter using the Sirius 3SK safety relay, which separates standard control from safety system. For integrated safety solutions, the motor can be shut down using the F-CPU, which allows the safety solution to be integrated into the automation system.
\nThe ET 200SP motor starter also offers many additional functions. With the \u201cquick stop\u201d function,
\nFor example, goods on a conveyor belt can be stopped quickly by switching off the motor independently of the PLC. This increases the productivity and throughput of the conveyor belt. The overload function ensures rapid shutdown of the system in the event of a mechanical blockage, for example when an object gets stuck in the conveyor belt. This allows users to protect their motors and increase the availability of the system.<\/p>\n
