Long-term absences can have major consequences for your employees and your company. The basis for a healthy and safe company is the Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&amp;E). It is essential to keep this up to date. But how do you do that? ArboNed gives five tips. \u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>What is a RI&amp;E?<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arboned.nl\/diensten\/risico-inventarisatie-en-evaluatie-rie?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=nieuwsbrief&amp;utm_campaign=250224Nieuwsbrieffhi\">The RI&amp;E<\/a> is about mapping the occupational risks in your company. Think for example of physical strain or psychological complaints due to a high workload. By addressing these risks you can prevent accidents, health complaints and absenteeism. The RI&amp;E consists of two parts: a list of all safety and health risks and a plan of approach to solve these risks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>5 tips for a current RI&amp;E<\/h3>\n<p>Because occupational risks can change daily, it is important to keep your RI&amp;E and Plan of approach up-to-date. Make smart use of our 5 tips:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>1. Continuously update<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>As a good employer, it is wise to keep your RI&amp;E and the Plan of approach up to date. This allows you to tackle occupational risks in a structured manner and limit the chance of health complaints and accidents. ArboNed advises you to review your RI&amp;E at least every four years.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>2. Adapt immediately to changing internal factors <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>In the event of major changes in your company, you are legally required to immediately adjust your RI&amp;E and the Plan of approach. For example, consider the commissioning of new equipment, a reorganization or merger and a renovation or new construction of company buildings. These changes can create new occupational risks.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>3. Monitor changing external factors<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Don&#039;t just look at factors within your company, but also outside it. Is there new legislation applicable to your company? Then you are also obliged to adjust your RI&amp;E accordingly.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>4. Evaluate the Action Plan regularly<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Action Plan is the basis for tackling occupational risks in your company. That is why it is important to evaluate this Plan more often than the RI&amp;E itself. For example, check whether agreements have been complied with and assess whether the measures have had the desired effect. But also look critically at the causes of accidents or absenteeism. This may provide new insights and you may have to implement new measures. Include these adjustments in your Action Plan.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>5.
