Latest addition to NI CompactDAQ lineup delivers powerful Ethernet tools and FlexLogger enhancements, providing cost-effective option for high-performance testing<\/h3>\r\n



NI unveiled the latest additions to its data acquisition (DAQ) lineup, introducing the NI\u2122 cDAQ-9187<\/a> and cDAQ-9183<\/a> Ethernet chassis and NI 9204<\/a> input module. Along with a GitHub repository<\/a> for NI FlexLogger\u2122<\/a> DAQ software plug-ins, these new solutions provide cost-effective options for deploying high-performance test and measurement systems over Ethernet.<\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

The cDAQ-9187 and cDAQ-9813 chassis are the first entry-level Ethernet solutions in NI's CompactDAQ family of hardware. These budget-friendly chassis are specifically designed for electrical and sensor measurements over Ethernet-supported distances. Both models feature a single Ethernet port and omit external trigger lines, reducing cost without sacrificing performance, and include QR codes for quick access to \u201cgetting started\u201d videos and relevant documentation to help streamline the setup process.<\/p>\r\n

The accompanying NI-9204 \u00b110-volt input module offers a lower channel count and a more affordable alternative to one of NI's most popular DAQ modules. It supports both differential and single-ended channel configurations, includes multiple gain settings, and features a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter to deliver precise, reliable measurements.<\/p>\r\n

Engineers can build higher channel systems with NI's advanced synchronization technology and IEEE 802.11AS-compatible switches, or by connecting the new entry-level solutions at the end of a daisy-chain of chassis.<\/p>\r\n

\u201cOur NI hardware and software advancements provide engineers with tools that enable better research, improved product quality and greater innovation,\u201d said Jesse Lyles, vice president of the test and measurement portfolio business group. \u201cFrom optimizing for cost-effective sensor measurements to enhancing workflows through customizable software, Emerson is focused on meeting the evolving needs of engineers in the test and measurement space.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

To further enhance its software portfolio, NI has also introduced a plug-in repository for its NI FlexLogger data acquisition software on GitHub. This open-source platform allows test engineers to download, upload and share custom plug-ins, extending the functionality of NI FlexLogger for various application needs. The repository includes templates and contributions from Emerson engineers and the broader user community, enabling faster development and improved test processes, enhanced functionality, and easier integration into existing NI FlexLogger setups.<\/p>\r\n

To improve the availability of its test and measurement offerings, NI supports perpetual licensing for FlexLogger software. Customers now have the flexibility to choose between subscription and perpetual purchase options, allowing them to select the model that best aligns with their business needs.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n
