Samson staat paginagroot in het FD. Sinds juli 2024 is hij de president-commissaris van staatsbedrijf Gasunie. En dit is voldoende aanleiding voor een uitgebreid interview. Werken aan de energietransitie, daar heeft hij zijn levenswerk van gemaakt. Na jaren praten in Den Haag en Brussel heeft Samson besloten dat het nu tijd is om de handen uit de mouwen te steken.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Slaperig lees ik woord na woord, zin na zin, totdat ik opeens enthousiasme proef. Helemaal onderaan het interview vraagt de journalist aan Samson om een voorbeeld te geven. Hier, tussen de mensen, met de voeten op de grond in Leeuwarden, vertelt Samson waar wij het allemaal voor doen: praktische oplossingen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cOnlangs was ik in Leeuwarden, waar ik ben opgegroeid. De wijk Wielenp\u00f4lle is een van de armste buurten van Nederland. Daar hebben de lokale woningcorporatie en een bouwbedrijf ruim honderd huizen energieneutraal gemaakt door zonnepanelen, isolatie en een industri\u00eble wijkwarmtepomp. Ik dacht dat bewoners het vooral zouden hebben over de lage energierekening, maar andere veranderingen waren minstens zo belangrijk. Zo besloeg de spiegel in de badkamer nooit meer en kon je in de vensterbank zitten zonder een koude rug te krijgen, want de ramen waren driedubbel ge\u00efsoleerd. Dat je \u00fcberhaupt in de vensterbank kon zitten zonder dat hij afbrak was al een enorme vooruitgang.\u201d[1]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Hier doen we het voor. Lekker in de vensterbank zitten. Rust, thuiskomen en vertrouwen op de technologie die je overeind houdt en je niet laat vallen. Samen denken in oplossingen die ons op de been houden. Pragmatisch en vrij van opgedrongen borstklopperij, kijken naar wat we wel kunnen doen. Dit is waar wij voor werken.
