This made it the gold standard for EMI\/RFI shielding in demanding applications such as aerospace, defense and telecommunications for a long time.<br \/>However, copper beryllium can be toxic when processed and may pose health risks. Stricter regulations have restricted its use in many industries.<\/p>\r\n<p>As safe alternatives, EMC spring contacts made of stainless steel (stainless steel), titanium-copper (CuTi) and phosphor bronze (CuSn) fingerstock can be used, depending on the specific requirements of the application, such as conductivity, resilience, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\r\n<p>Choose stainless steel versions when strength, wear resistance, and extreme environmental resistance are required and EMI shielding is less critical.<br \/>Choose titanium-copper fingerstock when high EMI shielding, flexibility and resilience are essential, and mechanical stress is less extreme.<br \/>Choose phosphor bronze for applications where a balance between cost and shielding is required.<\/p>\r\n<p>These spring contacts are available in several standard strip lengths, on a roll or cut to size.
