This makes customized PV applications possible: the solar cells can be produced in any desired shape without any problems. The amorphous silicon cells can be applied to various substrates, the usual ones are glass and plastic film.<br><br>Characteristic of the Amorton family is the sensitivity to mainly visible light and that already at an extremely low light intensity from 50 Lux. That also explains that the application area is mainly indoor. For wearables, indoor and outdoor use is necessary, where a hybrid variant is optimal and that also generates energy at a higher light intensity.<br><br>There are three basic technologies:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>indoor glass substrate 1.1mm thick and 0.63V per cell<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hybrid (indoor + outdoor) glass substrate 1.1mm thick and 0.89V per cell<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>outdoor film substrate 0.3mm and 0.82V per cell\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The individual cells are connected in series during the production process.
