Craftsmanship in the spotlight <\/h2><\/div>\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

From 23 to 25 September 2025, the Jaarbeurs Utrecht will be all about industrial electronics during Electronics & Applications. One of the highlights of the fair is the 'Best Solderer of the Benelux' competition. This live competition focuses on classic craftsmanship and technical precision and annually attracts a lot of interest from both professionals and enthusiasts in the sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Soldering technology forms the basis of almost every electronic product. Manual soldering remains an indispensable skill in the industry, despite the rise of automation. The 'Best Solderer of the Benelux' competition underlines the importance of this expertise. Participants get 45 minutes to show their skills under the watchful eye of a professional jury and trade fair visitors.<\/p>\n

Nerves of steel<\/strong><\/p>\n

The competition takes place live<\/em> place on the trade fair floor, so nerves of steel are required. Participants are given a challenging soldering task, where not only the speed but especially the neatness of the end result is judged. The jury, led by Stefan Walls of PEAK<\/a>, pays attention to connection technology, finishing and flawless work. This involves working on an ESD-safe work table of Human Workspace<\/a> which is ergonomically and efficiently designed and on which you can perfect your soldering work.<\/p>\n

Prices<\/strong>
\nEvery day the jury crowns one participant as the best solderer in the Benelux.
\nThe winner of the day will take home a professional Weller soldering station, made possible by Romex BV! On top of that, their company will receive an ESD work chair from Eurostat Benelux and Bimos. What prizes for the winner!<\/p>\n

Didn't quite make it to first place? No worries, because the second-place finisher won't be going home empty-handed either. You'll win an ESD backpack, made possible by Eurostat Benelux!<\/p>\n

More than a competition<\/strong><\/p>\n

The E&A fair <\/a>offers a wide range of activities in addition to the soldering competition, such as inspiring lectures and demonstrations of the latest technologies, services and products. The three-day fair is the meeting place for engineers, designers, developers and everyone who is interested in the future of industrial electronics.<\/p>\n
