This barometer, based on various indicators such as turnover growth, order portfolio, opportunities and threats, provides insight into current market trends and future expectations.<\/p>\n<p>The turbulent (geo)political situation is not doing the Economic Barometer any good. All sectors are concerned about the uncertain economic situation we are currently in. This is evident from the Netherlands Economic Survey (COEN), conducted by CBS, KVK, EIB, MKB-Nederland and VNO-NCW. On average, we see a negative trend compared to the previous quarter. In the Industrial Automation and Building Automation markets, more than half of the respondents indicate that the total order position has deteriorated last quarter compared to the same quarter last year. The Laboratory Technology and Industrial Electronics sectors show slightly more positive results in general.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Turnover<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The turnover figures show a mixed picture again. Last quarter, the turnover figures decreased across the board. On the other hand, Industrial Automation and Industrial Electronics expect the turnover figures to grow. Laboratory Technology expects the figures to remain the same and Building Automation is the least positive, half of the respondents expect a decrease in turnover.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Opportunities for 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The outlook for the coming period continues to be influenced by the shift towards sustainability. The energy transition is again seen by many companies as a major source of opportunities. This emphasises the continued need for innovation and sector-wide collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>FHI continues to closely monitor developments and provides members with up-to-date and relevant information on
