PWR Racing Team is more than a science club or Formula Student Team. We are a group of future engineers \u2013 constantly growing, challenging ourselves and working together to achieve our goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 15 years, our Team has grown in numbers and expanded its knowledge. The hard work we have put into our development has paid off, and we can proudly say we have built 15 cars \u2013 12 with internal combustion drive and 3 with electric drive. We are not slowing down, as we are already working on our new RT15e car. This is a very important project for us, as it will serve as the foundation for introducing front-wheel drive in future projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each new project is an opportunity for us to improve both our skills, and the vehicle itself. We constantly implement various changes and improvements to achieve better and better results. One of the major innovations we aim to introduce in the coming years is four-wheel drive. This is crucial for us, as it will significantly enhance our car's performance and strengthen our position in the world of Formula Student racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For our constructors, this is a huge technical challenge. Such an innovative change requires a new approach to the design of the drivetrain, powertrain systems and optimization of the vehicle's weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although we plan to implement this solution in future years and still have a long process ahead, it is a great opportunity for us to gain valuable experience. Students involved in the project expand their knowledge, develop their engineering skills, and learn to solve complex design problems. Teamwork is essential, especially during the design phase, as all components must work together. Team members must consult one another on any ideas and changes to avoid design errors. Each member makes a unique contribution to the construction of the vehicle, allowing us to learn from one another and grow. This approach supports the development of both the team and its individual members, benefiting their future careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our plans for the future include not only innovations in drive systems but also continuous improvements to our overall design. We are aware of the challenges ahead and the issues we encountered in the previous season. Therefore, we aim to increase the reliability of our car by upgrading the battery voltage to 600V for better engine performance and refining the battery cooling system. These changes will enhance the car's operation and help us achieve better results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main objective this year in the field of PCB development is to design and implement our own Battery Management System (BMS), beginning with a version dedicated to the Low Voltage Accumulator. Together with the development of our custom Low Voltage Battery, this project represents a major step toward greater technological independence and the enhancement of our in-house engineering capabilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our primary aim is to ensure that the BMS is fully compliant with all competition regulations, while achieving a level of reliability and performance comparable to commercially available solutions. A strong emphasis will be placed on safety \u2014 all protection and monitoring features must operate with maximum reliability under all conditions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project will form the foundation for future iterations of the BMS, with potential to scale up to high-voltage applications. Ultimately, it will enable us to build a robust, safe, and fully customized energy management system tailored to the specific needs of our vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
