the market. Everyone senses something is coming (EPBD, Bbl, energy management, demonstrability), but in practice, the question remains:<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>\u201cWhat is really mandatory\u2026 and how do I prove it?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<h3>Where it started: regulations \u2192 practice<\/h3>\r\n<p>The start of GACS-2026 didn&#039;t come from a product, but from a problem we saw everywhere:<br \/>many buildings have <em>parts<\/em> of automation (BMS, control cabinets, clock programs, meters), but not one coherent system that:<\/p>\r\n<p>\u2705 demonstrably meets the requirements<br \/>\u2705 is legally defensible<br \/>\u2705 and most importantly: <strong>actually focuses on energy performance<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>That&#039;s why we started translating laws and regulations into something that building owners, installers, and managers can apply. Not as thick theoretical reports, but as practical steps, choices, and evidence.<\/p>\r\n<h3>The first gear: whitepaper &amp; knowledge sharing<\/h3>\r\n<p>When we shared our white paper, we saw just how great the need is. Not just likes, but especially questions, DMs, and conversations with industry players. Because GACS isn&#039;t just about &quot;putting something up.&quot; GACS is:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>interpreting scope and capacity (what is\/is not included)<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>technical analysis of installations and controls<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>proportionality and feasibility (what is logical and defensible)<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>and then: record, secure and improve<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>From opinion to method: the 6 steps<\/h3>\r\n<p>To structure this confusion, we&#039;ve built our approach around a clear methodology. The basic approach is always this:<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>\r\n<p><strong>Determine scope &amp; obligation<\/strong><br \/>Capacity, building function, generation, situation in the building.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p><strong>GACS 360 Analysis (baseline measurement)<\/strong><br \/>What is there, what works, what is missing, where are the greatest energy opportunities?<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p><strong>Report &amp; Action Plan<\/strong><br \/>Not \u201cpretty texts\u201d, but: concrete measures, priority, impact, investment and order.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p><strong>Compliance file (demonstrability)<\/strong><br \/>This is where things go wrong for many buildings. You can have a lot of things in order technically, but without a file, you&#039;re left empty-handed.<br \/>We build a file that is logical, traceable and defensible.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p><strong>Monitoring &amp; dashboarding<\/strong><br \/>Because without measurement, GACS is a paper tiger. Energy and performance data must be visible.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p><strong>Optimization + periodic reporting<\/strong><br \/>This is where the real value lies: continuously adjusting, signalling, improving and demonstrating what you have achieved.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h3>The evidence from practice: 73 analyses Municipality of The Hague<\/h3>\r\n<p>The approach only really became clear through practical pressure. With, among other things, the trajectory of <strong>73 GACS 360 analyses<\/strong> (Municipality of The Hague) we received the same questions dozens of times in a short period of time:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Where is the line between \u201cGBS present\u201d and \u201cGACS compliant\u201d?<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>What is the minimum required to demonstrably comply?<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Which measures are proportionate in existing buildings?<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>How do you organize this without the project getting stuck?<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>It is precisely there that our role arose as <strong>brand-independent knowledge and implementation partner<\/strong>:<br \/>We connect legislation, technology and realistic implementation.<\/p>\r\n<h3>The next step: measuring, sensors and smart unlocking (even without demolition work)<\/h3>\r\n<p>In existing buildings, cabling is often the biggest obstacle. It&#039;s a rhythm:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>monthly\/quarterly reporting with trends and deviations<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>reporting waste and incorrectly configured regulations<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>justification of measures (what will it yield)<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>evidence for owner, user and auditor\/supervisor<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>and a continuous improvement cycle<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 That&#039;s why we often say:<br \/><strong>GACS isn&#039;t an expense.
