The World of Industry, Technology & Science (WoTS) has grown into a permanent meeting place for professionals from industry, electronics, and laboratory technology. Within the World of Laboratory<\/em> The emphasis lies on applicable knowledge, new equipment, and training that aligns directly with daily laboratory practice. For lab staff, WoTS offers a combination of technology and training aimed at safe, reproducible, and high-quality work.<\/strong><\/p>\n

An important part of the program consists of workshops where practice and theory come together. One of these is the interactive workshop. Aseptic Working in a Biosafety Cabinet<\/em>, in which correct aseptic working in a microbiological safety cabinet is central. This subject touches on the core of many laboratory processes in microbiology, cell culture, and (bio)pharmaceutical environments, where contamination control is directly linked to product and patient safety.<\/p>\n

Why aseptic working is more than a protocol<\/h4>\n

Working aseptically in a biosafety cabinet requires more than following standard procedures. Airflows, material positioning, hand movements, and behavioral discipline largely determine whether the protective function of the cabinet is maintained. Even minor deviations can lead to a disruption of the laminar air pattern and, consequently, to an increased risk of contamination.
