On this date, the new cybersecurity articles of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) become mandatory for any internet-connected product using radio technology, from devices with Wi-Fi and 4G to those with Bluetooth or NFC. This is a significant challenge for many manufacturers. But focusing only on the RED is a short-term strategy, because the even more thorough Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is on the horizon, set to become the main rulebook for all digital products.<\/p>\n<p>So how do you meet the immediate RED requirements without creating more work for yourself later? The key is to treat the RED as the immediate test, and the CRA as the final exam.
