birds and Royal Netherlands Air Force planes. Using commercial radars, the project Radar Observations of Bird Intensities, or ROBIN, was started. In 2010, our CEO recognized the commercial potential of this project and spun out the technology into a new company, Robin Radar Systems. Small avian targets have always been the company&#039;s focus. Hardware-wise, the company gradually moved away from commercially available pulsed radar systems toward in-house-designed 4D radars (in cooperation with TNO). Some years ago, the Doppler domain was added to the radar systems. This proved to be a game-changer for drone detection.<\/p>\n<p>In this presentation, I will address some of the developments done within Robin Radar.
