\nSince January 2026, GACS legislation for building automation and control systems has been in effect for large non-residential buildings. Organizations are required to monitor, control, and optimize building installations more intelligently. Active checks will be carried out starting June 2026. Consequently, data-driven building management is no longer an innovation project, but a necessary step towards compliance, energy efficiency, and a healthy indoor climate. In practice, this proves complex for many organizations. Building data is often scattered across building management systems, energy meters, sensors, and IoT solutions.
