DNA-based methods for food authentication: present status and future trends
Food authentication is a rapidly growing field due to public awareness concerning food quality and safety. DNA-based screening and identification methods are part of the standard toolbox for authenticating food products, but the applicability of advanced sequencing methods has not fully been investigated. An overview will be presented of current and future developments for NGS-based authenticity testing.
