Human pluripotent stem cells can efficiently be differentiated towards cardiomyocytes, the building blocks of the human heart. At the department of Applied Stem Cell Technologies at the University of Twente, we use stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes to generate 2D and 3D models for cardiac disease modeling and cardiotoxicity studies.
