Benzene toluene and xylene are industrially important products for the petrochemical industry. However, they pose environmental and health risks. The early detection of these gases by means of a simple sensor is critical. Within the project an optical sensors is developed based on a selective yet reversible reaction allowing differentiation and quantification of these three products.
