Essential Tremor (ET), Parkinsonian tremor (PD) and limb dystonia are diseases of the central nervous system (CNS) with pathological changes in different neuronal networks. This knowledge is hardly used in diagnosis. The Movement Diagnostic System aims now, with simultaneous recording of EEG, EMG, accelerometry and wrist perturbation both inside and outside the MRI, to identify via a closed-loop approach the activity of the different brain nuclei and their functional connectivity in abnormal motor control.
