Sustainability is a frequently claimed condition, which is often used especially by politicians in their „green“ agenda. But how realistic is the substitution of fossil energy sources, and what are the technical consequences? Our grid is no longer powered by powerplants only. Today we have various energy-sources like wind turbines, solar power, water power and so on. The energy consumption has increased a lot, caused by electrification of our houses and vehicles.
New regulations for using the grid are appearing and have to be implemented in your design. This presentation will be about the technological challenges to build highly efficient power design, which meet the new VDE-regulations. Special focus is on gate driver circuits for fast switching applications and EV-charging topologies.
