Process management in Autonomous Operations

Autonomous Operations and standardization

Within DSM several programs have been defined to digitalize and automate the process more and more. In the challenge of aging work forces and the demand to minimize nightshifts, standardization is key in this process to keep the costs at an acceptable level. The choices made and to be made in the standardization process are discussed during this presentation.

Process automation for Autonomous Operations

In Dordrecht, at the Sustainability Factory, an open digital ecosystem for Asset Performance Management Applications is currently being set up with the help of the SMITZH program. The ecosystem uses the publications of the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance for unambiguous access to non-PA data from the instruments and actuators in the factory.

The asset diagnostic data is accessible from, among other things: frequency controllers, pumps, flow meters, pressure/temperature meters and control valves from different suppliers (and ages). This is one of the practical cases that the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance can show concrete results.

With new synergies, Open Industry 4.0 Alliance members master Industry 4.0 – and enable operators to take business to the next level.
