On September 18 at 2:30 PM, will Ilman Sulaeman Islahuzzaman defend his dissertation entitled:
“Keeping the Lights On.”
It includes, among other things, the results of research into microgrids as a means to improve energy access in remote areas. It analyzes the key challenges in scaling microgrid development and identifies solutions in the fields of power electronics (PE) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The research questions are divided into four main topics: implementation methods, load characterization, suitable energy buffering technology, and societal and government-related outreach. The public defense takes place at 14:30.
