Commercial aviation is a major source of CO₂ emissions, making innovative solutions like the More Electric Aircraft (MEA) concept essential for reducing its environmental impact. Power electronics play a key role in MEA and can be optimized to improve efficiency and weight, leading to better fuel economy. This thesis explores the design of a five-level interleaved ANPC converter for an aircraft pressurization system. The prototype achieves 99.3% efficiency at 20 kW output power, though further research is needed to reduce input filter size and weight. The results confirm that multi-level converters can be effectively used in MEA systems, helping aviation meet future emission regulations.
