What can you expect

EMC Compliance and Tests, some Reflection
Gert de Gooijer – Electrometric

Since 1996, conformity with the European EMC Directive has been mandatory. What started as an obstacle has now become an internationally recognized standard. Outside the EU, CE conformity is increasingly required, as it represents a well-thought-out product. But what exactly does this mean for you as an engineer? And does a product actually have to comply? Gert takes you through his reflection on 30 years of EMC compliance.

Introduction to EMC
Alex Snijder – Würth Elektronik

This session provides a clear and accessible explanation of what EMC is, why electronic devices can interfere with each other, and why regulations such as the CE marking exist. It also discusses how EMC problems can increase development costs if you start addressing them too late, and what practical measures you can take to prevent interference.
