With almost 100 million euros in funding from the National Growth Fund, professor of physical-organic chemistry Wilhelm Huck is developing a fully automated laboratory. By combining chemistry with artificial intelligence (AI), the materials of the future are designed – a breakthrough in the materials transition.

The robot lab consists of self-driving modules that perform experiments autonomously and generate data as efficiently as possible. This technology makes it possible to develop new compounds faster and more precisely. This is necessary to accelerate the development of biobased materials and leave fossil raw materials behind us.
