(English lecture) Recent developments in ablation and mapping catheter require new connector solutions for medical device manufacturers.
Main requirements are connectors with higher density (encapsulating a high number of contacts within a minimal footprint) allowing a higher precision during heart mapping. Mapping the electrical activity of the heart is a critical component for the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.
A second requirement are multipin connectors that can stand higher voltages (kV magnitude), allowing increased electrical fields to perform PFA (pulse field ablation). Development and technical solution to achieve these new connector ranges will be explained
