DFT Smartfixture: an affordable, scalable, flexible, compact and test fixture based, functional test system
Nobody wants to put an electronic product on the market that does not meet the end user's needs. This will cause irritation, extra costs and in the worst case, reputational damage. So to be sure that what you have produced actually functions as intended, you will have to check, verify and test it properly before sending it to the end user.
To set this up cost-efficiently, an electrical test of the PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) at the end of the assembly is necessary. This testing is done, for example, using a functional PCBA test system.
The costs of such a test system can really add up if you have to buy both the software and the test hardware. Many smaller companies and startups prefer to develop and build this themselves. DFT now delivers a robust concept with which this can be realized!
We have a large number of measurement and instrument cards that you can easily use in a test fixture can integrate. Think of power modules, digital and analog I/O cards, switch and matrix cards, communication and programming cards. Mostly all with the same form factor, which makes them easy to stack and build into a fixture housing.
Mutual communication is possible via USB and an available hub (see example). In addition, we offer a complete, Python-developed operator interface which you can use freely in combination with these components.
This way you keep everything in your own hands for the development of your own test solution.
