Radar platforms are increasingly required to support multiple operational modes, frequency bands and mission profiles within a single system. This places growing demands on RF architectures, particularly in terms of signal routing, conditioning and reconfiguration.

In this talk, we explore architectural approaches that enable flexibility in radar RF systems. We examine common challenges such as accommodating future waveform changes, minimizing redesign effort, and balancing performance against configurability. Practical examples highlight how early architectural choices affect scalability, maintainability and long-term system value.
