Kropman Building Automation

As a designing total installer, Kropman is active in industry, healthcare and non-residential construction and has been a reliable partner in the field of measurement and control technology and building automation for many years. Kropman is one of the founding fathers of the trade association and this conference.

Organized with a strong customer focus and always with an integrated approach

We take care of the design, realization and management and maintenance of all technical installations in your building. We have the knowledge of all technical disciplines in-house. We believe that this allows us to serve you better, also because we employ people who are well trained, can work well together and also understand your business process. Kropman has consciously opted for an integrated approach, just as your building and installations form an integral whole.

Kropman is well spread nationally across the Netherlands, where a total of 800 colleagues work. However, Kropman Installation Technology is one BV, which guarantees quality, capacity and security for every customer. This also makes it easy to deploy the right know-how for a specific job. Kropman is a healthy and growing company.

Building automation: Specialism and a lot of experience

Building automation has traditionally been a spearhead in Kropman's services. The approximately 65 specialists are embedded in the various branches and take care of the design, engineering, implementation, software and commissioning of the control systems. They have extensive experience with almost all manufacturers such as Priva, Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell and Distech. Kropman is a Certified Partner of Priva, Schneider Electric and Distech Controls. Kropman has built up an extensive reference list of attractive customers.

Kropman uses and promotes 'open' standards as much as possible, such as LON, BACnet, KNX, Dali, modbus, JSON, XML and of course TCP/IP. Openness and transparency towards a customer is our priority. This is also illustrated by the manufacturer-independent GBS-InsiteView and InsiteReports. This enables a uniform and simple way for the user to operate and manage all connected technical installations.

Continuous development of building automation

Kropman has its own development department that continuously works on new solutions for building management and reporting of technical installations, system integration and software development. Thanks to this development department, clients can benefit from the latest GBS and IT options. Kropman works intensively with knowledge institutes and other companies in various research and development projects, such as TU/e, TUD, TNO, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, CWI and various companies. Within the framework of NWO and TKI, we are now working on projects with the aim of making existing buildings more sustainable and energy efficient. Making buildings suitable for Smart-Grid. Diagnostic systems for the automated monitoring and improvement of building and installation performance. For many years, Kropman has been offering many students (MBO, HBO and TU) the opportunity to participate in these developments through internships and graduation projects. Kropman regularly publishes about developments in the trade journals.

Building management software

Based on customer needs, Kropman has developed InsiteView, a software package for integrated building management. InsiteView collects, records and analyzes data and is completely open to the user. The great thing is that it also keeps up with all the trends. All types of technical installations can be linked and operated via InsiteView.

With InsiteView you have complete insight into the status of the installations at a glance and can make immediate adjustments if necessary. InsiteView can be operated in the office, but also at home or on the road via a standard TCP/IP connection. InsiteView also includes a nice graphical interface. An advantage of InsiteView is that multiple manufacturers and systems can be used interchangeably. The user does not notice this. It is therefore extremely suitable for use in new construction and renovation projects. Existing systems can be reused and possibly replaced in phases. Due to the large number of available connections, this offers the customer great freedom of choice. InsiteView is suitable for all building management standards.

Dashboards are available for managing buildings and these can also be made specific. What is unique is that all data from the building is used in a uniform way. This can be data from the GBS, but also all data that is linked via an API. This makes integrated management easily possible based on actual building performance for both climate conditions and energy use.
