Hilscher Gesellschaft für Systemautomation mbH was founded in 1986. The company has more than 400 employees at 10 locations worldwide. Hilscher's core competence is SoC technology for fieldbus and Real-Time Ethernet, as well as the development and production of industrial communication solutions for modern factory automation. Hilscher products range from PC cards, gateways, OEM plug-in modules to high-performance SoCs, including all major fieldbus and Real-Time Ethernet protocol stacks.

These are used worldwide for communication between automation equipment and control systems. Hilscher's unique selling point is an extensive portfolio of solutions for Real-Time Ethernet combined with IoT communications (MQTT and OPCUA), based on the same hardware.
