The EU Data Act – Your obligations regarding machine data

The EU Data Act, which has been in effect since September 2025, aims to give users access to and control over the data their products generate. For machine builders, this means they must be transparent about data, grant users access to the raw data their machines generate, and only use customer data themselves if contractually agreed to.
