The first phase of the transformation of three existing office buildings adjacent to the new AFAS Campus, dotNL, marks a significant step in the development of a modern, sustainable work environment. The project focuses strongly on three pillars: sustainability, reuse, and innovation. DotNL, located next to the AFAS Experience Center in Leusden, offers space for partners, startups, and scale-ups. The campus covers approximately 25,000 m² and includes 1,100 workstations, a restaurant, Grand Café, training facilities, fitness and prayer rooms, and various meeting and conference rooms.

The buildings have been made completely gas-free and connected to their own energy distribution system with underground thermal energy storage. Furthermore, the thermal envelope has been improved, and the renovation focused on the reuse of materials, such as carpeting, glass walls, and ceiling panels. This circular approach aligns with the ambition to achieve BREEAM-NL Outstanding certification – the highest sustainability rating within this standard.

The result is an inspiring and future-proof work environment where encounters, collaboration, and innovation take center stage. The dotNL transformation forms the foundation for further campus expansions, including additional office space, a pedestrian bridge to the AFAS Experience Center, and an underground parking garage with an entrance building.
