Asset Discovery as the foundation; not only for OT Cyber Security, but also for Operational Resilience

In most OT monitoring issues, the focus is primarily on security, and in particular on vulnerability and risk management. However, a good asset discovery strategy is the foundation for a successful risk management strategy (or exposure management). But a high-quality asset database is not only valuable for exposure management, but also plays an important role in network security management and advanced threat detection. In addition, a high-quality asset database can also offer operational benefits such as insight into the lifecycle of OT systems (End-of-Life status, outdated firmware).
