Laboratory Technology Workshop for Dummies

Do you or your colleagues, for example in HR, sales, administration, or marketing and communications, work with laboratory processes but have never actually worked in a lab? The Laboratory Technology for Dummies workshop offers an accessible introduction to the lab world. You'll learn about clinical chemistry, microbiology, analytical chemistry, and food research, and understand commonly used terminology, equipment, and processes. This will help you communicate more easily and effectively about laboratory work in the future, both within and outside the organization.

Program

You'll work independently on tests and experiments within four disciplines: clinical chemistry, analytical chemistry, microbiology, and food research. You'll conduct glucose and urine tests, analyze caffeine in various beverages, examine and identify bacteria under a microscope, and gain insight into food research. You'll learn lab techniques, terminology, and equipment, enabling you to communicate more easily and effectively about laboratory processes in the future, both within and outside your organization.
