In-depth RI&E

In his role as occupational hygienist at RPS, Erik Rdagelijks performs analyses to assess and measure exposure to hazardous substances. Part of his work consists of supporting companies with the In-depth RI&E for hazardous substances. This is an addition to the regular RI&E. He helps companies, including laboratories, with the inventory and organization of the storage, use and exposure to hazardous substances. In this approach, the 4-step plan of the Dutch Labor Inspectorate is used as a starting point. The possibility of mapping employee exposure through biomonitoring by taking blood and/or urine samples is also discussed.
