09:30 – 09:55

The new European Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 will replace the current Machinery Directive on January 20, 2027. This lecture will provide a clear overview of the most important changes and what you can do now. These include the revised definitions, the stricter requirements for the technical file, and the new obligations for manufacturers, including digital user manuals and cybersecurity measures. Specific attention will be paid to "high-risk" machines (Annex IA/B) and the practical implications of the new EVGE requirements (Annex III). Martijn Drost will share his vision on implementation strategies and provide concrete advice for design, documentation, and conformity procedures. This lecture will be of interest to anyone involved in machine design, CE marking, and compliance.
