24Vdc UPS with supercaps: reliable, easy to use and space efficient
With the new PC-0424-010-00, Block is expanding its portfolio in the field of 24Vdc UPS systems. The modules combine direct (<1ms) and automatic switchover in the event of a power failure. The sustainable and maintenance-free energy storage is based on 1kWs supercaps (EDLCs).
The bridging time varies depending on the load. At a load of 1A it can be up to 60 minutes, while at the maximum permissible current of 20A a bridging time of approximately 2.5 seconds is achieved. For higher power or longer bridging time, multiple units can be connected in parallel.
Charging an empty UPS buffer takes approximately 1.5 minutes.
With a width of only 55 mm on the DIN rail and no need for free space on the sides, the module fits easily into various installations.
Thanks to automatic detection of load and temperature, operation is simple and user settings are unnecessary. Two floating signal contacts and 3 LEDs provide clear feedback of the operating status.
In addition to this UPS system, Block also has power supplies and electronic fuses with the same design to offer professional and aesthetic integration.
