Driving Innovation: AMZ Racing's Triumph with Eurocircuits

In the high-stakes world of motorsport, where every millisecond counts, precision, performance, and reliability are the keys to victory. At AMZ Racing, the Formula Student team of ETH Zurich and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, we've been committed to pushing the limits of innovation since our founding in 2006. Every year, our team of dedicated members takes on the challenge of designing and building a new race car, and this year is no exception.

We are thrilled to introduce our latest creation: “dufour.” Named after the highest peak in Switzerland, dufour embodies our ambition to reach new heights in performance and engineering excellence. This year, our race car is more advanced than ever, thanks in no small part to the cutting-edge technology we've integrated into every component. Central to this technological leap are the printed circuit boards (PCBs) we've developed in collaboration with our trusted partner, Eurocircuits.

Eurocircuits has been instrumental in helping us realize the intricate designs and high standards required for dufour. The high-voltage PCB inside our accumulator, for instance, is a critical component that ensures the safe and efficient operation of our high-performance power system. Its design and fabrication were meticulously handled by Eurocircuits, ensuring that it meets the rigorous demands of a top-tier electric race car.

Another crucial element of dufour's success is the Battery Management System (BMS). These PCBs are vital for monitoring and managing the battery's performance, ensuring that every ounce of power is utilized efficiently while maintaining the utmost safety. The expertise and precision that Eurocircuits brought to the table have allowed us to achieve a system that not only meets but exceeds the performance benchmarks we set out to reach.

Our collaboration with Eurocircuits has been a cornerstone of our achievements this season. dufour's stellar performance on the track is a direct result of the reliability and sophistication of the PCBs that power its core systems. This year, we were proud to secure double overall victories at two of the most prestigious events in the Formula Student calendar: Formula Student East (FSEast) and Formula Student Germany (FSG). These victories underscore the effectiveness of our design and the critical role that Eurocircuits has played in our success.
