Apex Dynamics has been supplying gearboxes in all shapes and sizes for years. A few years ago, racks and pinions were added. Since then, the company has increasingly operated as a system supplierThis also applies to Duflex Mechatronics, where it optimised the drive components for a door milling line.
Special machines
Duflex Mechatronics develops and builds special machines for the manufacturing industry. The company from Elst takes care of the entire engineering process, from mechanics, electronics and control software to the ERP systems. It does not limit itself to one or two industries; Duflex can just as easily come up with a solution for the production of face masks, for the inline inspection of baby food packaging as for drilling and milling work on industrial doors. Since its foundation in 1997, Duflex has engineered more than seven hundred machines.
It is striking that Duflex chooses to let its developers assemble, program and test their own designs. 'Because we do not have separate departments, everyone has to know what they are doing', says director and founder Arno Dumoré. 'Because they immediately see what works and what doesn't, they learn much faster. In larger projects we do of course work in teams, but always with the idea that you know exactly what you are putting on paper. An additional advantage is that we waste little time on meetings and the transfer of information, which also leads to great involvement in a project.'
