Connect with industrial communication of the future – May 23 Brainport Industries Campus, Eindhoven
“Connect to the future connects – in every sense”
Smartly connecting systems and devices, allowing them to communicate and share information is the basis for realizing a future-proof business. But how do you do this? During the event Connect to the future At Brainport Industries Campus on May 23, HMS Networks will demonstrate which communication solutions are available and how you can achieve success with them.
“We want to during Connect to the future companies, among other things, show the added value of smart data handling, but also how you as a company can effectively get started with it. We do this with networking opportunities, live demonstrations at a microfair and knowledge sessions," explains Vincent Wagenaar, General Manager at HMS Networks Benelux.
5G and Cybersecurity
After an introduction about Brainport Industries Campus, the plenary session will address 5G for industry and cybersecurity, two themes that are becoming increasingly important. This will be followed by a number of parallel sessions. Ton van Beek, Channel Manager at HMS Networks: “Due to Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 – the interaction between people, technology and machines – legislation and regulations are also changing. If something goes wrong, immediate intervention is required, also for wireless systems. That is why we will discuss the new EU Machinery Regulation.”
The increase in wireless machines does not only lead to a different approach to safety. “More wireless systems also means a greater variety of wireless communication techniques (4G, 5G, Bluetooth, WiFi, …). We want to guide machine builders through the different options and show them which technique is most suitable for which application.”
Factory Uptime and AI
Systems and machines communicating with each other intelligently leads to added value. Wagenaar: “For example, it is possible to reduce downtime through permanent monitoring. Diagnostic tools monitor production lines 24/7 and signal deviations at an early stage – even before a fault occurs – so that operators can schedule maintenance in good time. We are happy to show the public how this works.”
Finally, HMS will also demonstrate how artificial intelligence can contribute to better performance.
Data journey
But before you can achieve success with data, companies will have to overcome obstacles. Wagenaar: “The data journey of every company is different. That is why it is good to also work with other companies to connect. Connect to the future is an event where we do not only share knowledge. Like-minded people can also exchange experiences with each other and see what is possible via live demonstrations at the microfair. Specialists will present the four production lines Anybus, Ewon, Intesis and Ixxat that HMS Networks carries. In short, Connect to the future connects – in every sense of the word.”
