Com-Power model CGO-501 Comb Generator is a broadband EMC signal source for a quick EMC test. It generates a signal up to 1000MHz in 1MHz steps

EMC laboratories regularly calibrate their instrumentation, accessories and test locations for radiated emissions. These procedures are extensive and time-consuming. However, calibration does not prevent equipment from malfunctioning between calibration periods due to, for example, damaged receivers, broken cables, poor connections, bent antennas, etc.
Regularly monitoring a single frequency on the broadband output of the comb generator can quickly and efficiently verify the entire installation. Any problems with the test setup can be detected before it causes incorrect results.

It has a round shape for a more uniform radiated output, provides a stable RF output and is battery powered for up to 18 hours of use.

In summary:

  • Reference signal source for OATS, SAC, FAC, etc.
  • Frequency range: 1 MHz to 1.5 GHz
  • Frequency step: 1 MHz
  • Frequency stability: 20 ppm
  • Amplitude stability: ± 0.1 dB
  • Time stability: <1 dB for 1 year
  • Two Monopoles 5-inch and 12-inch antennas
  • 17.8 x 3.0 cm and 0.7 kg

In addition to this CGO-501, Com-Power has several versions up to 40GHz.
