Energy management in polluted environment
The German Koch introduces the scalable, active energy management system Pxt TX as a short-term UPS for electrical drives. The device is particularly suitable for the textile and woodworking industries. The closed housing protects the module from dust particles in the air. With the passive cooling, there is almost no chance of dust accumulating in the device.
The Pxt series from Koch is a scalable, active extension of the intermediate circuit capacity of frequency inverters and servo controllers. It is manufacturer-independent and plug-and-play compatible with most brands of controllers.
With a current capacity of 5 A continuous and 40 A peak, the device can generate a power of up to 18 kW. The Pxt TX can be supplied as standard with an energy storage capacity of 2 to 4 kJ.
For integration into a fieldbus network, the plug-in module Pxt MX can be added to the Pxt TX, which can provide additional information. If the application requires more energy, extension modules Pxt EX are available with an optional 2, 4 or 6 kJ additional storage capacity. These are also plug-and-play.
