Fair-Rite flexible ferrite tiles are designed for EMI suppression in applications where limited installation space and mechanical flexibility are important. Unlike rigid ferrite plates, these NiZn-based materials easily conform to flat and curved surfaces without compromising their magnetic properties.

The amount of noise absorbed at higher frequencies depends on the resistive portion of the permeability (μ'). Depending on the material type and thickness, effective attenuation can be achieved from below 1 MHz up to the GHz range.

Key Specifications:

  • Material: NiZn soft ferrite
  • Frequency range: < 1 MHz to GHz range
  • Available thicknesses: 0.13 – 0.53 mm
  • Multiple material variants (six types)
  • PET carrier with self-adhesive backing
  • Operating temperature: –40 °C to +85 °C
  • Typical thermal resistance: 6 W/m-°C
  • Available in standard sheets 60x60 mm and 120x120 mm or cut to size

Typical applications include suppressing radiated emissions, optimising RFID and NFC antennas, wireless charging systems and reducing interference around PCBs, ICs and switching power supplies.
