For applications where high sensitivity and accuracy are required, AH Systems offers a complete set of H-Field (magnetic field) antennas. These antennas form a compact and efficient alternative to traditional loop antenna configurations.
Each H-field antenna consists of a ferrite rod with a coil wound around it and a matching unit (AK-HFR). The ferrite material concentrates the magnetic component of the RF signal in the coil, giving a physically small antenna a significantly larger effective surface area. Furthermore, the sensitivity is much higher than with a coil without ferrite, as is the case with traditional loop antennas.
The set covers the full measurement range from 100 Hz to 30 MHz and is suitable for MIL-STD, VDE, and TEMPEST tests, where reliable and repeatable measurements are crucial. A battery-powered preamplifier extends the functionality and works with all H-Field antennas.
