Solar Team Twente is a group of ambitious and innovative students from the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Since its founding in 2003, their goal has been to design and produce the most efficient solar-powered car, which will compete in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge: a brutal 3,000 kilometer race across the Australian outback.
From day one, Solar Team Twente has been driven by its core values: innovation, collaboration, and inspiration. They believe that by pushing the boundaries of possibilities, working together as a team, and inspiring others to embrace sustainable technologies, it's possible to make a positive impact on the world.
Innovation is at the heart of everything Solar Team Twente does. Every two years, they design and produce a completely new solar car, incorporating the latest developments in solar energy, aerodynamics, and materials science. They are constantly testing and iterating on their designs to find new ways to improve efficiency and performance. They are always looking for new ideas and inspiration from new teammates and partners.
Collaboration is essential to the success of Solar Team Twente. With twenty students from diverse academic backgrounds working together on a single project, teamwork is essential. From electronics and mechanics to marketing and communication, each team member has a crucial role to play. They also work closely with their partners, who support them with expertise in areas such as solar cells, batteries, and electronics.
All in all, Solar Team Twente does what it does to inspire others to embrace sustainable technologies and make a positive impact on the world: to inspire people today to contribute to the sustainability of tomorrow.
Helukabel supplies the cables for this solar car, including the H01N2-D, H07V-K, and Lify. We also provided tools and cable accessories such as cable ferrules, crimping pliers, and scissors. We'll be sharing more information about the solar car's development and the race in Australia in the coming weeks.
We'll be keeping you updated on this special project in the coming weeks. Want to learn more about Solar Team Twente? Visit the website.
