With their exceptionally wear-resistant TPE sheathing, the cables are specifically optimized for dynamic use in energy chains and are available for all bus systems.
Budel, January 29, 2026 – Bus and Ethernet cables are essential for digital communication and numerous industrial applications – including in energy chain systems, where dynamic acceleration, high speeds, and tight bend radii are commonplace. Mechanical loads, such as strong bends at small radii, tensile forces generated during dynamic use, and wear from contact with surrounding components, put significant strain on the cables and can cause long-term damage. This can lead to difficult-to-detect faults and unwanted production losses.
HELUKABEL has therefore developed a solution specifically designed for this demanding application environment with the new HELUCHAIN bus cables. The cables feature a particularly robust outer sheath made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). This is highly resistant to both abrasion and chemical influences, ensuring excellent durability even at extreme temperatures. High-coverage shielding with a flat braiding angle provides reliable protection against EMC interference.
The inner sheath of HELUCHAIN cables is also made of TPE and is extruded under pressure. This ensures precise internal routing of the cores and prevents internal deformations—the so-called corkscrew. This ensures that the cable components remain securely positioned, ensuring consistently good and stable transmission properties. Even with a minimum bending radius of 7.5 xd, the cables achieve a service life of at least five million bending cycles—laboratory tests demonstrate excellent data transmission even with significantly smaller radii. This makes them an ideal solution for highly dynamic machines, such as those in handling and transport systems or printed circuit board assembly.
HELUCHAIN bus cables are available from stock for all common bus systems, such as Profinet, PROFIBUS, Ethernet up to CAT 7, and CAN bus. Thanks to their UL approval, they are also suitable for use in the US market – ideal for export-oriented mechanical engineering. As a system supplier, HELUKABEL also supplies the cables pre-assembled with the appropriate connectors upon request, as well as as part of a fully assembled and ready-to-use energy chain.
