Silicia 2R: A season of progress and partnership with Eurocircuits
Welcome back to an exciting update on the Infinity Racing Team's journey with our Formula Student car, Silicia 2R. This season has been a rollercoaster of successes, challenges and valuable lessons. From the Red Bull Ring in Austria to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain, our team has shown resilience, innovation and teamwork at every turn. We would also like to highlight our vital partnership with Eurocircuits, whose products have been instrumental in our success.
Season starts at Formula Student Austria
The Infinity Racing Team kicked off the season at the iconic Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria. The event began with a thorough technical inspection where Silicia 2R successfully passed all safety and regulatory requirements. This strong start laid the foundations for a competitive performance in both static and dynamic events.
In the static disciplines, including Business Plan Presentation, Cost Report and Engineering Design, the team demonstrated its ability to combine technical innovation with strategic thinking and efficient cost planning. On track, the Silicia 2R impressed in the dynamic events, demonstrating cornering stability, speed and agility. Although a mechanical problem prevented the car from completing the endurance race, the team left Austria proud of their performance and motivated to make further improvements.
Reaching new heights at Formula Student Spain
The season continued at Formula Student Spain, held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. This event pushed the team and Silicia 2R to perform at the highest level, both in the technical tests and in the competitive disciplines. Passing the tilting, braking and rain tests demonstrated the car's stability, braking efficiency and resistance to environmental challenges, preparing it for the intense dynamic events.
In competition, Silicia 2R once again delivered strong results on the track, excelling in speed, agility and reliability. The endurance race, a key highlight of the event, highlighted the robustness and efficiency of the car, successfully completing one of the toughest challenges in Formula Student.
The static events also reflected the team's commitment to innovation and professionalism. Presenting a compelling business plan and demonstrating engineering ingenuity highlighted the depth of our project and the strength of our collaborative efforts.
Crowning the Season at Formula Student Germany
The Formula Student Germany event at the Hockenheimring marked a fitting conclusion to our 2024 season. It was our final opportunity of the year to showcase the team's skills across all disciplines, and we are immensely proud of what we achieved together. This event was a celebration of the dedication, innovation, and teamwork that defined the journey of Silicia 2R throughout the season.
As we close the chapter on the 2024 season, our sights are already set on the challenges and opportunities of the coming year. Preparations for the next season are in full swing, and the team is energized to take on new goals and push the boundaries of what's possible.

Their high quality PCBs and precision tools, such as the eC-Stencil-Mate, were instrumental in ensuring the reliability of our vehicle.
