Your connection for data, signals and energy – connection technology for the PushPull device
With the PushPull connectors you can HARTING user-friendly housings that can be used for very different applications for data, signal and power transmission. In addition to the classic RJ45, this modular concept also includes connection for signals, power transmission and the connection of optical interfaces.

An ideal solution for Ethernet applications in challenging outdoor situations, whether it is a camera system for monitoring process technology systems, telecom equipment or traffic technology. They are all exposed to sun, wind and rain, and in coastal areas also to salt spray. This aspect should not be underestimated; especially not in offshore wind farms. It has been some time since modern wind farms exceeded a clearance height of 100 meters and required an alternative to copper for the Ethernet connections to the rotor head, which are limited to a transmission distance of 100 meters for the required bandwidth. In these applications, the protection of the connection is particularly important, because fiber optics are used here. As is well known, optical connections are more sensitive to contamination than electrical connections. In such applications, the V4 PushPull-housing can also be equipped with a fiber optic insert element.
And action
In the field of automation construction and device construction, more and more facilities have touch panels and screens for operation, whose video signals were previously connected via an Ethernet interface. In order to avoid this detour of various conversions and to be able to transmit a video signal directly, the V4 is also available with a connection surface for a display port. This allows modern HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) to work directly with video signals. They all have the sturdy housing and easy handling in common. Plug in, click and done!

The big brother
For years, modular thinking has been deeply rooted in robotics concepts. Devices and tools must be able to be connected quickly and easily, depending on the application purpose. The big brother of the PushPull V4 is particularly useful in automotive production: the PushPull-variant 14. In robotics, designs with a zinc die-cast housing are preferred. They withstand even the toughest load tests, reliably protect against EMC and tolerate weld beads in a vehicle chassis production line without any problems. But what happens if the robot then has to perform another task? Of course, fixed wiring would be completely unthinkable here. The robot must then be able to be adapted easily, quickly and reliably. With the PushPull V14, that is no problem! The large PushPull also offers a suitable connector surface with numerous plug-in elements, whether for Ethernet, signals, power or fibre optics over long distances.

The good second
In order to connect power supplies easily, HARTING also offers the PushPull connector in the Power L version. With its zinc housing, it is also optimally protected against adverse environmental influences and damage, but can also be connected easily by plugging in and pulling out and unplugging, as with the V4 and V14 variants. With max. 16 A at 24 V, even energy-intensive applications can deliver the right performance. This AIDA conformity betrays its origins in automotive production. One click and the power supply is switched on.
