Arbor has launched the rugged ARES-1980 embedded PC, designed for industrial and automotive applications. The compact dimensions (210 x 180 x 60 mm) house a Core I3, I5 or I7 processor in which Intel's high-end Iris Xe graphics processor is integrated. This allows, among other things, HR videos to be played on 3 different screens.
The ARES-1980 features versatile I/O interfaces and connectivity. It offers four COM ports (RS-232), a 2.5GbE LAN, two PoE ports, four USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, and eight digital input/output connectors. The system is suitable for use with Machine-Vision systems due to the independent USB connections and the powerful processor.
Due to the supply voltage range from 9 to 36 VDC and the ignition option (switch-on and switch-off delay), this compact PC is suitable for mobile applications.
Mounting is possible directly, but there are also options for Din rail and VESA mounting.
