A Line Impedance Stabilization Network or LISN is a test device that measures interference generated by a connected electrical device and which is transmitted via the cabling.
These high-frequency disturbances pollute the mains; Other devices may be disturbed or even damaged as a result.
Most LISNs are only made to measure according to the standard. These often lack integrated accessories for safe and easy measurements. Elab-Tools has integrated these, in particular:
- limiter to protect the connected spectrum analyzer
- band-pass filter against cross modulation or clipping
- splitter for common mode and differential mode signals
- prefilter of 250µH, to filter any interference present on the power supply network
- universal socket, to also be able to measure American equipment
The only measurement connections are a BNC to the spectrum analyzer, 90-250Vac 16A to the device under test and a connection for an artificial hand.
That is why a robust test setup can be built with a LISN from Elab-Tools, where safety for the connected equipment and ease of operation are paramount.
