The TF-Luna from Benewake is a single-point LiDAR, based on the TOF (Time of Flight) principle, specifically intended for distance measurement. The TF-Luna is used for distance determination, filling level or level measurement and presence detection of people or objects.
The unique optical and electrical design results in stable and accurate detection. The low-cost TF-Luna is equipped with specific algorithms for various environments. These can be tuned to provide the best distance measurement in complex application areas and scenarios.
LiDAR is similar to radar, but based on laser pulses instead of radio waves. With this technique, smaller objects can be observed.
Features TF-Luna:
- compact housing 35×21.25×13.5mm
- working range 0.2-8m
- distance resolution 1cm
- power consumption ≤ 0.35W
- frame rate 1-250Hz
- FOV 2°
- weight <=5g
In addition to this sensor, Benewake offers a complete range of LiDAR sensors from simple, reliable distance measurement to complex 3D measurements with a wide opening angle.
The applications can be both moving and stationary: as collision protection on autonomously moving vehicles, production robots and drones; as presence measurement for vehicles; as level measurement on silos or in containers, etc.
